St. Timothy School offers a comprehensive visual and performing arts program that is an integral part of the school curriculum and engages students in a variety of immersive and inspirational artistic experiences.
Pre-K to 8th grade students take fine art classes to develop their skills in various areas of fine arts, including painting and drawing. In addition to learning the historical value of art and increasing their cultural awareness of the world around them, students work on creativity, design and implementation.
The school-wide Performing Arts program covers many subjects including improvisation, puppetry, circus arts, scene study and mime. Working closely with the Church and school choir director, the program also integrates a choral component for all students.
To complement performing arts in the curriculum, St. Timothy School offers a dynamic after-school drama program for K – 8th grade students. There are two performances a year; past productions have included musicals, monologues and plays.
St. Timothy School considers the Arts to be an important aspect of the school. This program helps students discover creative skills, new ways of thinking and different ways of expressing themselves, which are essential factors in helping our students develop into confident young people.
