THE ARTS AT ST. TIM’S
St. Timothy students are engaged in a variety of immersive and inspirational artistic experiences.
Music is part of the curriculum and all students study both piano and violin each year. Final performances are typically held during the winter and the spring. Students with a desire to sing have the opportunity to participate in the St. Timothy Church choir.
Art is integrated into the curriculum as each teacher uses these methods to support creative expression in his/her classroom. Artsonia, an online museum and art program, provides a forum to display student artwork. Through this program, friends and family around the globe can view and purchase student art. Once a year, St. Timothy’s holds an art exhibit and periodically shares its art with the community. We are fortunate to have talented parents and friends further support the arts at our school.
Our Drama Club director is the beloved “Mr. G” (Gil Santoscoy). Mr. G’s dramatic and comedic talents engage students and impress parents every year. Spring productions are held at the Pico Theater. As the popularity of this club has grown, it has evolved to include a junior club for students grades K-2 and a senior club for students grades 3-8. Each year, the St. Timothy School Senior Drama Club concludes the school year by presenting a play at the Pico Playhouse.
Two of the most recent adaptations performed in spring have included: “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “The Clown Prince of Wanderlust” and “The Princess King”.
