Valedictory Address
St. Timothy Graduation Ceremony
June 6, 2008

St. Timothy has been my school for the past nine years. So, it has been my home away from home for the larger portion of my life. I have been taught in every classroom, many great teachers have instructed me, and my parents and my family have supported me. I have progressed much from my St. Timothy School experience. St. Timothy has pushed me so that I realized that there are no limits to learning. The support I have received from this school and my parents has helped me realize my potential in High School.

Valedictorian. What a huge honor it is for me to be able to call myself the valedictorian of the class of 2008. As I stand here today, I am flooded with memories of my first school tour. Although my reasons for wanting to join the St. Timothy family, the small colored desks and the class pet iguana Gilbert, were age appropriate, little did I know that I would come to love and appreciate my school beyond my understanding. As I grew, the teachers sparked my interest in many things including reading, math, and piano.

Although those things are all very important to me, the relationships that I have created over the past nine years will stay with me for the rest of my life. I have made friends that have brought laughter and joy into my life. I could not picture a single day passing by without remembering the people that have made me laugh and have made my academic experience so meaningful. It's hard to think of where I would be without those special people. My friends, my parents, my teachers, and the rest of my family are all a big part of the person who stands before you today.

One important relationship that can not be overlooked is the one I have developed with my teachers. Without their patience and understanding, I would not have reached the point at which I am now. My friendship with my teachers has helped and encouraged me to do my best, always. I have had many high and low moments in my academic journey. Without the support I have received from my family, I would not have been able to keep going. But, perseverance is the key to success.

I love my school, my friends, my teachers, and most of all, I love the environment in which I have grown and developed into who I am today. I am very excited to go to High School, yet I never want to leave the place that I have grown up in for so long. I am so grateful to my school and my teachers, especially Mr. Gerson, Mrs. Novak, Ms. Hauser, and Mr. Clark for helping me follow a clear path to High School. Although I know that I will be alright in High School thanks to the efforts of my teachers and family, I know that I will never find a home away from home as wonderful as St. Timothy.

I would like to thank Mrs. Richmond and Fr. Brelsford for keeping
our school running the way it has been for the past fifty years.

I would also like to thank my family and all of the teachers I have had
over the years for supporting and encouraging me.

Lastly, I would like to thank God for bringing me this far and helping me
continue on my quest of lifelong learning.

Thank You!
