Academics

St. Timothy School educates the whole child and prepares students to make contributions to a changing and challenging world. The philosophy of St. Timothy School defines education as all of the structured experiences in which students participate: curriculum, athletics, activities, and our life together as a faith building community. St. Timothy School's Learning Expectations support the development of a spiritual Catholic, a globally and culturally aware citizen, an active learner, a creative thinker, and a motivated individual.

St. Timothy School has an advanced and academically challenging program in a supportive and nurturing environment which stimulates and encourages each student to achieve their goals. Our curriculum (often taught a year ahead in certain subjects) include: the Saxon math program, Early Literacy Program with Destination Reading, specialized phonics, vocabulary and writing program, science laboratories with experimentation, Service Learning Program and more.

St. Timothy School's grading policy is designed to 'raise the bar' for our students and encourage them to achieve. As a result, the St. Timothy student is exceptionally well prepared for graduation from elementary school and advancement to secondary education. We are proud of our graduates and attribute their success in part to our uniquely designed and challenging academic program.
