St. Timothy School was established in Rancho Park in 1958, between Century City and Santa Monica. It is a private Catholic school that is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. St. Timothy School offers curricula for grades Pre-K through 8, with Extended Day Care available.
While “excellence in education” has always been emphasized at St. Timothy, the curriculum continually evolves to meet the current and future needs of our students. Today, the educational experience includes advanced/accelerated class subjects, diverse artistic and cultural explorations, technology instruction and a growing variety of sports and competitive experiences. Over the past few years, students have excelled in regional and statewide science fairs, math competitions, academic decathlons, as well as sports.
At the 2012 Archdiocese Academic decathlon, after the fourth year of participation, St. Timothy’s team won the “Superquiz”, the competitive core of the event. This competition attracts over 100 Catholic Elementary Schools. Our students achieved impressive rankings in the Math League competition and were presented with regional and statewide science awards. Artistic accomplishments include successful productions at the Pico Theater and performances with the LA Opera and on the KCET Christmas program.
